Omunhu Ministries is a Christ Centred Organization found in Kagoma Central, Jinja District, Uganda. Founded in 2019, we exist to build Christ-centered relationships with children and their families through discipleship, educational sponsorship, mentorship, and holistic care. "Omunhu" meaning "salt" based on Matthew 5:13, we believe every child has God-given potential and deserves the opportunity to grow in faith, character, and confidence.
Many children and families face challenges such as poverty, limited access to education, family instability, and trauma. We exist to walk alongside them with the love of Christ, restoring hope, strengthening families, and empowering young people to become compassionate leaders who transform their communities.

Our Programs
Educational Sponsorship
We support vulnerable children to access quality education through school fees, scholastic materials, and ongoing academic support. Through sponsorship, we help children stay in school, grow in confidence, and pursue their God-given potential..
Family & Community Engagement Programs
We organize projects and activities that bring children, families, and communities together in a Christ-centered environment. Through home visits, caregiver support, and meaningful partnerships, we strengthen relationships and create supportive communities where children can thrive.
Mentorship & Discipleship
We nurture children's emotional, spiritual, and personal growth by providing safe environments, Christ-centered mentorship, trauma-informed care, positive discipline, and child protection. Through caring relationships, we help children grow in faith, character, confidence, and purpose.
Vocational & Life skill training
We equip young people with practical skills and confidence for the future through hands-on training in areas such as hairdressing, computer skills, and other vocational opportunities. We also develop life skills that build confidence, leadership, and positive decision-making.
Residential Care
Our Residential Care Program provides a safe, family-like home for a small number of vulnerable students who need additional care and support. They receive accommodation, daily meals, mentoring, discipleship, homework support, and life skills to help them grow in faith, character, and confidence.

Executive DirectorEvarine is a wife, mother of four, and founding member of Omunhu Ministries. She provides vision, leadership, and strategic direction, guiding the ministry’s mission to create safe, nurturing spaces where children and families can grow, thrive, and experience Christ’s love.
KAYABYA CHRISTOPHER GIDEON
Finance & Discipleship DirectorChristopher Gideon is a founding member of Omunhu Ministries and oversees the ministry’s financial operations and discipleship efforts. He is a husband and father of four. He combines strong leadership with a heart for spiritual growth, ensuring the ministry’s financial health while guiding others deeper in their walk with Christ.

Founding PartnersThe Hahns are among the founding members of Omunhu Ministries. From the outset, they contributed significantly to shaping the ministry’s vision and purpose. Through their prayer, wise counsel, encouragement, and generous support, they have played and continue to play a pivotal role in establishing and strengthening the foundation of Omunhu ministries.
NAMUKUBA STELLA
Program CoordinatorStella oversees the planning and coordination of Omunhu Ministries' programs, ensuring activities are well implemented and aligned with the ministry's Christ-centered mission. She works closely with children, families, staff, and community partners to support meaningful and lasting impact.
BUTAWAYE CHRISTINE DEBORAH
MentorChristine mentors children and young people through discipleship, guidance, and life skills development. She conducts regular school visits and home visits to monitor students' well-being, encourage families, and strengthen relationships that support each child's holistic growth in faith, character, and education.
NANGUDI EUNICE
AdministratorEunice manages the day-to-day operations at Omunhu Ministries, ensuring smooth administration and supporting the team with efficiency and care.
NSUBUGA UMAR
Ministry Program officerUmar supports the implementation of Omunhu Ministries' programs through student follow-up, home visits, mentorship, and community engagement. He is committed to building meaningful relationships with children and families while advancing the ministry's Christ-centered mission.
NAMULINDA MIRIAM
House GrandmaMiriam lovingly cares for the students living at the OMUNHU home, providing a safe, nurturing, and family-like environment. She supports their daily routines, offers encouragement and guidance, and mentors them through everyday life, helping each child grow in faith, character, and responsibility.
